The battery powered sensors are generally located remotely, one is usually outdoors, the others are placed at desired locations around your home. The sensors transmit the local temperatures and humidity levels to the weather station where they are also recorded every 5 minutes.

The weather station can store more than 2000 sets of readings taking care of more than 1 weeks readings. The unit is supplied with PC compatible software and a data cable permitting the data to be uploaded to the PC via an RS232 connection, the data can then be saved as a text file that can be imported by a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel.
